Our name carries a place and a discipline. This page explains both — plainly, and in the register of a modern healthcare company, because that is what we are.
Where we’re from
Robeson County, on the Lumber River.
Lumbee Advanced Medical Supply LLC was started in Pembroke, North Carolina, in 2025, and operates today from Rowland, in southern Robeson County. This is the southeastern corner of the state: flat, sandy country cut through by the Lumber River, with longleaf pine still standing where it was never cleared.
It is the homeland of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, and it is where this company was founded and is run from. The clinics, care facilities and emergency services of southeastern North Carolina are our neighbours, and supplying them well is the standard everything else here is measured against.

The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina is federally recognized. The Lumbee Fairness Act was signed into law on December 18, 2025, and on January 30, 2026 the U.S. Department of the Interior added the tribe to its list of federally recognized tribes.

The mark
Drawn from pinecone patchwork.
Pinecone patchwork is a Lumbee quilting tradition. Small squares of fabric are folded into points and stitched down in concentric rounds, every point aimed at the center, so the finished surface has the layered look of the base of a longleaf pinecone.
Its best-known example was made in the early 1900s by Maggie Lowrie Locklear (1869–1931): thirty pinecone patches built from more than 30,000 folds of fabric, cut from her family's work clothes, her dresses and aprons, and homespun cloth. Our mark is built the same way: a medicine wheel made of rounds of folded points in red, gold, black, and white, with the letters L A M S in its four quadrants.
We use the patchwork as a maker's mark, specific to this place and this company, and we speak for our company, not for the tribe.

Lumbee Advanced Medical Supply was founded by a disabled U.S. veteran. That is the whole of the biography we will put on a web page; what matters to a customer is what it changed about the way the company operates.
Accountability
Every order, quote and sourcing request has a named person responsible for it. When you call, you reach that person — not a queue.
Readiness
We stock what clinics, care facilities and EMS crews reorder, and we say plainly when a line is low, backordered or ships from the manufacturer.
Documentation
Safety data sheets, specification sheets and manufacturer documents are pulled before an order ships. Lot and expiration for dated stock are recorded at receiving and printed on the packing list.
Follow-through
A quote comes back as a quote — part numbers, pack sizes, unit prices and delivery terms — and a problem shipment gets a claim filed and a replacement moving, not a shrug.

We live where we ship from. Tribal health programs, county EMS services and independent clinics across southeastern North Carolina are neighbours before they are accounts, and we would like to keep it that way.
Reliability

Craftsmanship
